Christmas Cookies!

Holiday baking can be just as delicious without all the carbs! We’ve got a list of some of our favorite holiday cookies and dessert. We love simple recipes that are family friendly and not obviously keto/low carb gluten free!

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies:

Keto Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are easy to make and one of my our favorite Keto Christmas cookies! We swapped out my wife's old family recipe with Keto ingredients and used Keto chocolate chips instead of Hershey Kisses.

Russian Tea Cakes

These Keto Russian Tea Cakes are the perfect classic Christmas cookie. They’re also delicious all year long! Our families have been making these as long as I can remember, but now we have a keto option to enjoy. They go by many different names - Mexican Wedding Cakes, Russian Tea Cakes, Pecan Dreams, Pecan Sandies…. what do you call them?

Butter Cookies

This is a basic cookie recipe that is well loved and can be easily adapted to the flavor you’re looking for! We’ll spread leftover cranberry jam on them, top with toasted almond before we bake, or just eat as is for a not-to-sweet holiday cookie!

Chocolate Bark

This Chocolate Keto Bark is so easy to make and only has 3 ingredients. Switch up the flavors of the chocolate on the top and bottom to change the flavors. Using mint chips during the holidays works greats! This recipe is perfect to keep in the freezer any time of the year!

Peanut Butter Almond Bites

While this isn’t a “cookie” it’s definitely one of our most popular holiday potluck recipes! Nuts and chocolate are the perfect Christmas snack or dessert. Easy to make, no baking required and always a hit!

Candied Pecans

I can’t wait to make candied pecans every winter! My kids absolutely love them and (of course) they’re easy to make! Just make sure you find some keto friendly brown sugar ahead of time. We have some suggestions on our blog post. Bonus tip: buy your pecans in bulk at the beginning of the season!

Raspberry Santa Hats / Cream Cheese Frosting

I’m includign our cream cheese frosting recipe because we love using the frosting plus raspberries to make Santa hats! Just over stuff a raspberry with frosting and then place frosting side down on parchment paper. Add a little ball of frosting on top and then freeze. We serve them frozen - they don’t get too hard and are perfect for the kiddos!

Coconut Snowballs

It’s no secret that Boss Babe LOVES coconut. Ask her to make a Keto dessert recipe, and it will probably have coconut and at least little chocolate in it! Bonus points if you just mix all the ingredients together at once! This coconut snowball cookie checks all the boxes AND uses a unique ingredient for sweetener!

The Keto Dad Tips and Tricks:

  • Make the dough ahead of time, shape the cookie and then freeze. Let the dough sit at room temperature while your oven heats up, then bake your cookies!

  • Some treats do better if you make the recipe, then freeze it - like our peanut butter bark or peanut butter almond bites!

  • Macros, recipes, and free recipe downloads are on each post.
